Information Session to outline the vision, goals and future of Adelaide rugby league
Adelaide rugby league supporters will have the opportunity to come together, have their say and learn more about the campaign to bring an NRL team back to South Australia at the upcoming Adelaide Wants Their Team Back Information Session.
The session will be held on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at the Mitchell Sports Centre and is open to rugby league supporters who want to learn more about the campaign and how they can play a role in its future.
The Adelaide Wants Their Team Back initiative has been established to give Adelaide’s rugby league community a united voice and begin building the support, organisation and community momentum required to have a serious conversation about the return of an NRL team to Adelaide.

The information session will provide supporters with an opportunity to hear directly about the goals and objectives of Adelaide Wants Their Team Back, including the work being undertaken to promote the campaign and engage with key stakeholders.
Importantly, the session is also about hearing from supporters.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions, discuss ideas and provide feedback about what supporters believe needs to happen for Adelaide to once again become part of the NRL landscape.
Whether you are a lifelong rugby league fan, a former Adelaide Rams supporter, a current NRL supporter or simply believe South Australia deserves its own NRL team, this is an opportunity to become part of the conversation.
Become Part of the “MOB”
One of the key opportunities being presented at the information session is the chance to become a member of the “MOB” Supporters Group.
The MOB is designed to provide a grassroots supporters network for people who want to actively support the campaign without necessarily taking on a formal committee position.
Being part of the MOB could mean helping promote the campaign, attending events, spreading the message, encouraging other supporters to get involved, participating in supporter activities and helping demonstrate the strength of rugby league support across South Australia.
You don’t have to be on the committee to make a difference.
The strength of any campaign ultimately comes from the people behind it — and the MOB is about giving ordinary rugby league supporters the opportunity to stand together and show that Adelaide wants its team back.
Want to Take It Further?
For supporters who want to play a more active role in shaping the campaign, there will also be an opportunity to find out more about nominating for the Adelaide Wants Their Team Back Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee will play an important role in helping develop the organisation, establish priorities, coordinate activities and advocate for the campaign.
If you have skills, experience, ideas or simply a passion for seeing rugby league return to the national stage in Adelaide, you are encouraged to consider putting your hand up.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
What matters is a willingness to contribute, work with others and help build a strong and united voice for Adelaide rugby league supporters.
This Is About More Than Just a Team
The campaign is about starting a conversation.
A conversation about the future of rugby league in South Australia.
A conversation about what an Adelaide NRL team could mean for local players, clubs, supporters, businesses and the wider community.
And ultimately, a conversation about whether the time has come for Adelaide to once again have a place at the top level of Australian rugby league.
The Adelaide Wants Their Team Back Information Session is an important step in building that conversation.
